HollaBid is a live-video shopping marketplace. Sellers broadcast live shows, run real-time auctions or sell fixed-price items, and buyers bid and buy right inside the stream.
Not during the beta. The app runs in TEST MODE (you'll see the 🧪 badges). All cards, charges, and payouts are simulated — use the test card 4242 4242 4242 4242 with any future date and any CVC (real cards are declined while testing). When we switch to real payments, the badges disappear and we'll tell every tester directly.
Nothing real is required. Stripe's test setup accepts sample values right in the form — use SSN 000-00-0000, and test bank routing 110000000 / account 000123456789. Payouts are simulated until we go live.
Sellers pay a commission of 6% of the item price (4% for Electronics, 3% for Coins & Money), never more than $90 per item, plus standard card processing of 2.9% + 30¢ per sale. Buyers pay the item price plus the seller's shipping charge — no buyer fees. In every category, at every price, sellers keep more than on the big platforms.
Tap the Sell tab → Get started. You'll pick your category, answer two quick questions, agree to the seller rules, and connect payouts through Stripe (about 2 minutes). During the beta, use Stripe's test values — the app walks you through it.
Payouts go through Stripe directly to your bank. When a buyer pays, your share (total minus commission and processing) is transferred to your Stripe account automatically.
Tapping Bid places a binding bid at the amount shown. Bids in the final seconds extend the timer (anti-snipe), so auctions can't be stolen at the buzzer. If you win, your saved card is charged automatically and the item ships to your saved address.
Tap Max bid and enter the most you're willing to pay. We'll bid for you automatically, one step at a time, whenever you're outbid — up to your max. You can win below your max, and only pay more than the current bid if someone pushes you.
Sellers set a shipping price on each lot; buyers pay it with the item. Sellers ship within 2 business days with tracking.
Every purchase is covered by [Buyer Protection](/legal/buyer-protection) — item never arrived, not as described, or arrived damaged. Report within 7 days of delivery and approved claims are refunded in full. Email support (Account tab → Contact support) with your order details; during the beta we handle every issue personally.
Sellers can run giveaways during live shows. Entry is always free — no purchase necessary, and buying doesn't change your odds. Tap the 🎁 banner to enter; the winner is drawn at random and announced live. Full details in the [Giveaway Rules](/legal/giveaways).
Yes — on the Sell tab choose Schedule instead of Go live now, pick a time, and your show appears in the home feed as Upcoming with your cover poster. Followers get a push notification the moment you actually go live.
Press and hold any chat message → Report or Block. Hosts can also remove a user from their show entirely.
Account tab → Delete account. Your personal data is removed; order records are kept only as required for payments and tax law.
